The Google Technical Services (gTech) team serves as the primary point of contact for our global Sales, Business Development, and Partnerships teams to support our sales organization across all products. We provide tools so that our sales teams can focus on generating revenue and leverage our strong relationships with Googles Tech teams to enable our sales organization to do multi-solution selling, launch and support new products, and help and engage our users.

The role: Consumer Operations Manager (Google Maps and Local)

The Consumer Operations team is all about focusing on the user. You work on our flagship consumer products like Gmail, Chrome, Android and Google+ to actively support global users through help centers and online communities. You are a Google guru. You have detailed knowledge of our constantly evolving product suite to ensure that user feedback flows to the Product team and fuels innovation. In this highly cross-functional role, you are the voice of our users and problem-solve with the Product, Marketing, Legal and Engineering teams. You process suggestions, bugs, abuse and other product information to ensure we are constantly improving the user experience.

As a ConOps Associate Principal, you are viewed by Eng/Product as critical contributor to decision-making on customer product/market needs and an expert in area of focus. You contribute significantly to or lead communication at the VP level and leverage cross-functional relationships to improve product customer service strategies. You create opportunities to work jointly with other teams on best practice development and proactively contribute to the formulation of ConOps strategy.

In this highly cross-functional role, you are the voice of our users and problem-solve with the Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to develop actionable insights and plans that create improved product experiences. As an ConOps Team Manager for Geo, you’ll head a team of product experts and analysts within Consumer Operations to help shape the evolution of these products. We’re looking for a team player with a strong background in team leadership, technology, operations management and product marketing/management who can help improve our support and user focus. You will help set the strategy for user support, feedback, education and community to create a holistic and exceptional consumer experience for these products. To ensure success in this mission, you effectively communicate strategy and priorities to your ConOps product team, as well as key executives. You engage with cross-functional stakeholders to meet the needs of your specialized role and engage team members across markets effectively to share/acquire knowledge. You maintain operational excellence for your team, leading efforts to improve customer satisfaction productivity while advocating for product changes that improve user experience.
