The role: Director of Performance/Search Marketing

As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy.

The Director of Performance/Search Marketing is responsible for driving growth in Google’s Search and Performance Advertising business through effective and results-focused marketing campaigns. You will lead this team in defining marketing strategy, planning and campaign execution to support Google’s sales teams to drive advertising revenues from large advertisers agencies. This will involve finding innovative ways to; engage senior decision makers, educate the users on our products, and to promote Google’s business brand. You will work closely with our sales, product, and partnerships teams to assure that we have consistent marketing plans and initiatives that will appeal to our largest advertisers and agencies. Our approach is to embrace the strength of the products and pace of innovation to drive marketing programs that are entrepreneurial, data-driven and respectful of our users. This is a high profile role requiring deep media and technology marketing experience in a leading media and/or digital technology company.
