Huge Surge of Technology Jobs in BC
The Times Colonist recently published a story reporting that there expects to be a 5% increase in new IT jobs created in BC in the next year.
The story was published after the results of a survey administered by the BC Technology Industry Association indicated that their expects to be 3,000 new IT jobs created in the next year in BC alone. This great news for job seekers in this sector with all levels of experience. Workers currently in the field will have access to new more senior positions; while university grads will be able to fill in vacancies in the more entry level jobs.
Steady advancements in technologies have made it difficult for some workers in this field to remain qualified; hence for some their ability to maintain employment has been challenging. This trend is expected to continue so it will be imperative for workers in this sector to continuously update their skills sets to remain competitive in the market.
